Did you miss that special movie you wanted to see when it played at the base theater?


Plan to come watch it at the Community Center. Movies may be viewed on a first come first served basis unless you have a group of ten or more. The Community Center is the focal point for many exciting recreational activities at Cannon AFB. The Community Center hosts special events such as Cannon Idol, Base Talent Contests, Easter Egg Hunt, Open Mic Night, Breakfast with Santa, Father and Daughter Ball, Tops in Blue, Battle of the Bands and much more. Smaller special events are all-nighters, video game/table sport tournaments, outdoor movies, and themed activities.



Base Theater

The base theater is open for big screen movies! The Community Center staff manages the theaters day-to-day operations. Admission is free for everyone. Movie lovers who enjoy great snacks must visit the concession stand for freshly popped popcorn, nachos, pretzels, bottled beverages, and a variety of boxed candy. Ice cold beer is available for purchase by anyone 21 years of age or older with a valid ID card. Beer is only available during movie screenings with a rating above PG.


Movie screenings are held on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday matinée movies are typically family friendly movies. For your convenience, the movie schedule is posted above.


In order to maintain the base theater your support is needed. Make sure to visit the theater often and purchase all your snacks, food, beverages and cold beer at the snack bar. Currently, the theater offers popcorn, nachos, pretzels, candy, ice cream, bottled water, bottled carbonated drinks, bottled fruit drinks, and cold beer at the snack bar.


Creative Works or Cooking

If you enjoy creating works of art or cooking then enter one of our painting, drawing, writing, photography, or cooking contests held throughout the year. The Community Center offers numerous instructional classes. Tools and equipment are available for leather craft, needle felting, wood carving, jewelry making and painting/drawing. Check the web ads on the sidebar to find out what classes are being offered this month or click on the At Your Service magazine cover from the home page and take a look at the events hosted by the Community Center for this month.


Free WiFi Access

Throughout the Community Center you can connect to free WiFi service. Bring your laptop, iPad, iPod or other electronic device and get connected.


Recreational Rooms

The Community Center has the following recreational rooms:


Cyber Café

The Community Center houses two separate Cyber Cafe locations--one upstairs and another downstairs. There are three general purpose computers downstairs and 14 gaming-class computers in the computer/video game room upstairs.


Video/Computer Game Room

There are nine stations with PS4, PS3, X-Box 360, X-Box 1 and WiiU on each. There are 14 gaming-class computers. Two of these computers are our "connections" computers. They have MS Office, high quality webcams, Skype, and headphones so our guests can stay connected with family and friends.


Music Room

In the music room you will find drums, a keyboard, electric guitars, bass guitars, acoustic guitar, and an ukulele. If making music is your thing, make sure to take advantage of this room.


Multi-purpose Room (MPR)

The MPR is available for instructional classes, meetings, and special occasions/celebrations. It has an 80 inch high definition TV with HDMI, VGA, audio, USB and optical interface connections


Reception Area

The reception area is designed as a place to hang out with and meet new friends. There is a large table to talk at , eat at, play board and card games, etc. There is also a 70 inch high definition TV which it is connected to cable. This is our hotspot for watching sporting events. It has a ping pong table and our snack bar.
